Do you have 2–3 hours per week to spare? Want to spend quality time with your child while making a positive impact on the local basketball community?

NoVa Youth Hoops is always looking for dedicated volunteer coaches at all levels. Whether you are an experienced coach or simply want to help kids learn and enjoy the game, we would love to have you join our coaching team.


What's the Commitment?

Our volunteer coaches typically commit to:

  • One (1) practice per week – 1 hour
  • One (1) game per week – 1 hour
  • Preseason Coach Orientation – 1.5 hours
  • Preseason Player Evaluations – approximately 3 hours (optional)
  • Grades 4–8 only
  • Team Draft – approximately 3 hours
  • Grades 4–8 only
  • Mandatory Preseason Coaches Clinic & Equipment Pickup – approximately 3 hours
  • Online Requirements – approximately 1 hour
  • Background Check
  • Concussion Awareness Training
