Bryan Bielecki Scholarship Fund
In memory of Bryan Paul Bielecki, NoVa Youth Hoops is proud to continue his legacy by providing financial assistance to families who may otherwise be unable to participate in basketball.
Bryan was a devoted father, husband, son, and brother whose kindness and patience touched everyone he met. He loved coaching basketball and fishing and was deeply committed to his community. Bryan served in numerous coaching and leadership roles with the MLBL/SoLo travel program before continuing his coaching career at Freedom and Lightridge High Schools.
The
Bryan Bielecki Scholarship Fund helps ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent young athletes from experiencing the game Bryan loved.
Financial Aid Requests
Families requesting financial assistance should email commissioner@novayouthhoops.com and briefly explain their financial need. Supporting documentation may include, but is not limited to:
· Current eligibility for free or reduced-price school meals
· Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
· Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
· Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
· Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
· Foster care or ward-of-the-state documentation
· Medicaid coverage for the child being registered
· Other documentation demonstrating financial hardship
This list is not exhaustive. Other forms of documentation may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All financial-aid requests and supporting documentation will be kept confidential and reviewed by the NoVa Youth Hoops Board of Directors. The Board reserves the right to determine the validity of alternative documentation and evaluate each request based on the circumstances presented.
Approved assistance may include a full scholarship, partial scholarship, or no financial assistance.
Financial aid must be requested at the time of registration and is subject to available space in the program.
